What instrument do you play and how long have you played it?

I play anything with keys, so Piano / Organ / Keyboards/ Accordian etc. etc.
I started messing about on the piano from an early age, probably about 7 or 8 so about 25 years! I gradually taught myself some chords and learned to read basic notes (dots) by playing recorder at school. I added in some basic bass cleff by learning tuba and playing in a brass band. I’ve never had any real lessons, so when people give me classical bits to play I can’t do it, that’s why I like chords.

What sort of music do you listen to outside of church?

My favourite band is the barenaked ladies, but I like most things from classical to rock. On my iPod you’ll find U2, Coldplay, Radiohead and some classic Oasis. I’ll even admit to some McFly.

Who would you most like to meet if you could make anyone dead or alive and why?

I’d like to meet Richard Branson. His fresh approach to business and his vision for things like spaceflight are an inspiration. I’ve also read his books, which are pretty amazing.

What do you like to eat?

Curry!

What is your favourite book or film?

Favourite Book – Travels by Michael Crichton

What is your job?

I’m Head of Operations at ISS, which provides IT Services at Lancaster University

How old are you?

At the time of writing this, 34

If you had too much money what would you do with it?

Give it all away of course! Just kidding, I’d probably build a massive recording studio with an unbelievable amount of equipment in it and record albums that no-one would buy.

What would be your dream instrument?

Nord Electro 3 Keybord (or pretty much anything from Nord)

Who is your favourite worship leader?

Constantly changes. I’m into Paul Baloche at the moment and the kind of teaching he does via his youtube clips.
